Pantry Essentials
I normally buy in bulk when Items are on sale:
Compound Butter
(I love to make compound butters by the pound and freeze them already in Tablespoon slices)- Garlic & Herb Butter
- Lemon & Chili Butter
- Smoked Paprika & Rosemary Butter
- Cinnamon Maple Butter

Infused Oils
Oil, everyone has their favorite cooking oil, Mine happens to be Peanut oil, and I buy a big 5 gallon around thanksgiving time. I do keep Olive oil and Vegetable oil around because I have friends with peanut allergies.
So one of things I do with my oils is infuse them with flavors, Since my family loves garlic, here is my most common Infused Oil
Garlic Infused Oil
Ingredient
- 1 cup of your favorite cooking oil (Peanut, Canola,Vegetable, Olive etc..)
- 4-5 cloves of minced garlic
- 2-3 Tablespoons of fresh herbs (I use thyme and oregano But this is entirely Optional)
Instructions:
- Place all your ingredients into a saute pan (cold)
- Place on stove under low/med heat.
- Once it starts to sizzle turn it down to Low heat and let sit for 5 minutes
- Strain into a heat proof bowl and let sit till cool
- Pour into your labeled squirt bottle to use to cook your favorite foods
Spicy Curry Ketchup
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Tomato Ketchup
- 5 teaspoons of Curry Powder
- 2 teaspoons of Smoked Paprika
- 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 teaspoons of Mild Honey
- 1 teaspoons of Sriracha
- 1 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar
Instructions:
- Toast the curry powder for 1-2 minutes till it becomes very fragrant.
- Put all in a bowl and whisk really well.
- Place in a jar and let it sit for 24 hours (bet you can't)
- Use on everything you would normally use ketchup with!
